Bioplastics + Textile Waste

Here are some outcomes of a workshop Material Driven hosted for 3rd year Interior Design, Kingston. In this particular workshop we cast textile waste in a bio plastic made from algae!! I salvaged this textile waste from the knit rooms in KSA.

Interestingly, they started to grow mould after a few days, and when left in direct sunlight the shape warped. I’m sure they’ll be more experiments on the way.
